We are loooking for a

Global Packaging Innovation Manager (m/f/d)


  • Management of strategic packaging projects in coordination with GBI-management and R&D leads
  • Responsible for all global packaging innovation activities
  • Continuous market observation to identify market trends or competitive activities around packaging
  • Proactive identification and introduction of innovation, growth, sustainable packaging solutions and savings potentials     
  • Independent search and evaluation of cooperation partners (institutes, universities and suppliers)
  • Supervision of utility model and patent applications of third parties as well as active veto filing if necessary
  • Monitoring compliance with project management requirements as part of the company-wide new product development process (NPP) for the assigned projects
  • Responsibility for the process-compliant data backup of all information / knowledge arising in this area
  • Process-compliant implementation of packaging material releases and risk management with regard to food law, QM and production technology specifications for the projects transferred
  • Responsible for compliance with food law, ethical, publicity requirements and with the requirements of the company-wide production strategy for the warranty of performance of the long-term producibility of new products
  • Supporting the supervisor in the development and implementation of the Innovation strategy
  • Monitoring of all activities related to production trials (definition, planning, implementation, evaluation)

Skill Requirements

  • You have a degree in packaging engineer, packaging R&D or similiar subject
  • You already have several years of experience in the development of creative packaging in a cost-sensitive environment
  • You have in-depth knowledge of packaging materials, packaging and packaging technology
  • You have experience in production facilities with regards to implementation of pack solution on lines
  • You are experienced in working in interdisciplinary teams and in project management
  • You have a high affinity to creative and innovative work
  • You are target and cost oriented and work proactively and independently
  • You have highly developed analytical and conceptual skills
  • Holistic solution oriented as well as fluent multilingual knowledge, at least English, will complete your profile
